Myra’s quest to become an acupuncturist was a long journey since childhood. Surrounded by western clinicians in the family, naturally, her interest in medicine lead her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. As her peers continued on to the Western field of medicine, Myra knew that path was not hers to follow as much as she loved medicine.
It wasn’t until years later, where she discovered her love of playing soccer that resulted in many injuries and as a result found acupuncture to alleviate and accelerate the healing process of her injuries.
As a mother of a child with Celiac, she believes that health starts in your digestive tract. Focusing on diet and lifestyle is the key to living a healthier and abundant life.
Myra holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor’s College graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her area of interest includes sports injuries/pain relief, women’s health, gastrointestinal issues, stress and anxiety, and more recently – cosmetic acupuncture.
